Goddess Kali is the fierce and terrifying form of Shakti. She is depicted with a dark complexion, wild hair, a garland of skulls, and a protruding tongue, symbolizing the destruction of ego and ignorance. Kali is worshipped as the goddess of time, change, power, and destruction of evil. Despite her fearsome form, she is deeply compassionate to her devotees and grants liberation.
